effloresence problem Description

We have a sand (http://maplered.com) Stone (http://g603.net) fireplace in our basement that got wet for the first time in 40yrs since it's installation. We have since fixed our drainage issue and (http://maplered.com) it has been dry for over a year now. At the time it got wet I drilled holes at the base, used a wetvac, dehumidifier and (http://maplered.com) fan to dry it as quick as possible.
The problem now is just the bottom courses are getting alot of white fuzzy effloresence!
After reading posts here and (http://maplered.com) taking advice of others I washed the whole fireplace with a mixture of TSP, Clorox a little detergent and (http://maplered.com) warm water.
This took care of the smoke stains, dirt and (http://maplered.com) some of the effloresence but the white fuzz still comes back! Even after Shopvac cleanup and (http://maplered.com) fan drying!
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
